Moving the Examples to the wiki format requires making some minor changes. The pages in this category have had more significant changes made to them, and people reviewing the new format may want to pay special attention to them.

Pages not flagged for special review should only include simple changes like:

  • Moving block comments from the example text to the discussion section. Example: original | wiki
  • Shortening an inline comment and moving the full explanation to the discussion section. Example: original | wiki
  • Replacing UPPERCASE emphasis with bold or italics. Example: original | wiki
  • Making minor changes to reflect that a comment has been moved--for example, changing "In the line below" to "In the third line". Example: original | wiki
  • Reordering the comments or splitting a long comment into two sections. Example: original | wiki
  • Omitting comments specific to the older format. Example: original | wiki
  • Adding cross-references and links to other sections and individual examples. Example: original | wiki

The pages in this category have some more extensive changes. Some examples include:

  • Reorganising involved more than simple rephrasing, with some comments expanded or combined. Example: original | wiki
  • Some extremely concise notes were expanded into full sentences. Example: original | wiki
  • In a few cases, I added a link to, and quote from, the Guidelines, to clarify a more concise comment. Example: original | wiki
  • Brief comments were added to a few examples that originally had no markup at all. Example: original | wiki
